Our Cistus - Rose of Sharon absolute has a deep amber like aroma and is solvent extracted from the crude resin of the plant. It comes in a semi-solid state and will need to be gently warmed to make it workable. It has excellent fixative qualities.

Cistus is also known by the name "Rock Rose", "Labdanum", "Rose of Sharon"

The essential oil version of this oil comes from the same plant except a different extraction method and plant part are used.

We do not offer samples for this oil as it is too thick to pour into tiny vials.

Blending Suggestions:  Spikenard, Myrrh, Bergamot, Cedarwood, Angelica, Frankincense, Cypress, Clary Sage, Lavender, Cinnamon, Galbanum, Benzoin, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Pine, and Vetiver.
