Costus is an ingredient some believe is mentioned in the Bible. This is a very thick oil that will need to be heated gently to make it workable.
Scent Profile: Woody scent profile with an interesting diffusive quality and excellent fixative qualities. Some describe this oil has having a powdery, orris root, cedarwood tone. Use in small amounts.
Our Costus Root CO2 extract is semi-solid and extremely sticky, it will take a long time in a water bath to make it more fluid. It is difficult to work with. Soluble in alcohol. If using with a carrier oil it will need to be infused and filtered.
Use this oil with caution.

Blending Suggestions: patchouli, sandalwood, rose, ylang ylang, sweet myrrh, vetiver and spices.
